Grandoise thoughts

I have a lot of thoughts, like everyone else, some of them are completely unbelievable, some of them may be fulfilled. Some, just can't happen. Like this thought, that I may be an idiotic blogger(am I?) or that I am living in a villa with a swimming pool(uh-huh, and my bank account has 20 crores). But some, like me having a Golden Retriever can be fulfilled(or so I think). How about this for unbelievable: Me, watching "Mighty Cat Masked Niyander “Mighty…” is about the heroic deeds of a “ cat”, the mighty Niyander who rescues people in trouble like Superman Clark Kent. The cat, like the Superman, dons a cloak.

But me, I like to call it Mighty Cat Masked Niyantha :) Really. Even my sister.

Word to the wise: You should see it.

I also have this thought, that Planet Karpalooby exists. Because the stupid Holiday Homework, which I didn't finish yet and school starts on 13th of June. I have to finish some handwritten one, Social Studies, which is the biggest bore ever. All help accepted. The topic for SST is
'Collect information and pictures on the languages and literatures of India in the form of a booklet"

I know, lame.

Yesterday, my dad, cousin and sister ditched us at a wedding reception and went to the PARK hotel. Actually, it must've been embarrassing for my sister as she was wearing a davani :)

So, I will be going to Cochin and Munnar for five days, without my sister(!) and my sister says "Take a camera and take lots of pictures"

And for all those people who watched Sun TV last Sunday at 4:00p.m I hope you enjoyed watching Veerasamy (Tamil: வீராசமி) is a low-budget Tamil film released in 2007. It failed to make an impact at the Kollywood box office. The film was fully made by veteran actor and producer T. Karadi Rajendar. This film shows the dubious talents of romance, action and emotion with dialogues he is famous for (e.g. Dandanakka Dadunkanakka)

A Quick glance:

Veerasamy

Produced by T. Karadi Rajender

Starring T. Karadi Rajender
Meghna Naidu
Mumtaj
Ajees
Santhanam
Music by T. Karadi Rajender
Release date(s) 2007
Language Dandanakka Tamil

The Karadi acted as the hero in the movie. Together with him was Mumtaj. Although the movie wasn't a chartbuster, its songs were a hit due to the splendid dance scenes (including belly dance) by Karadi. Rumours have it that Karadi produced this movie to make a record by creating the biggest flop in the Tamil film industry, which he suceeded in.

Introduction

The movie is basically a political story with a tint of love and more of action. In the movie, the Karadi is an M.L.A. Officer. Unlike common corrupt politicians, he is very straight forward. The police and the government employees are made to work properly due to the control of Karadi. And also, there is a guy who has an Apsara Long point lead through his ear, since the youth cool groups think this is very hip and funky, man!

Story

Basicly the notion of the story is that if any problem occurs to public, Karadi is there to help them. Mumtaj falls in love with the Karadi and tries to marry him.

Meanwhile there is another character in the story, Sheela, sister (Tangachi) of the Karadi. He generally opposes his sister's love for her childhood lover.

The sad ending of this movie is that due to some false witness, the Karadi is adjudged of involviong in corruption. On hearing this the Karadi dies of Heart Attack. He is not able to bear that shock and dishonour to his name. The major twist in climax is when the Karadi dies, Mumtaj, the true lover of Veerasamy also drops dead.

Aftermath

In the movie, the Karadi (and Mumtaj) died in the end. Unfortunately before that several audiences in some cineplexes in Madurai, Chennai and Tiruchi were found dead due to unknown circumstances after seeing the movie. Postmortem reports confirmed that they died of boredom and frustration.

Songs

The songs of the movie were a hit. Over 100 records were sold worldwide within the first month of the audio release. The Karadi was very happy with the outcome of the track Varan paru Varan paru Veerasamy... Varan paru Varan paru Gundu Karadi...

A look at T.R:
Vijaya T. Karadi Rajendar
Occupation Movie Artist (Director, Actor, Actress, Singer, Scriptwriter, Dance Master, Producer, Cameraman, Choreographer, Poet)

T.Rajendar, also known as Vijaya T.Rajendar or TR or The Karadi (Tamil: விஜயா தங்கச்சி கரடி ராஜேதர்) is a Tamil movie director, actor, singer, dance master, coreographer, music composer, screenplay writer, dialogue writer, editor, poet and politician. He is also well known for his rhetoric Tamil sequence of words.

Filmography

T. Karadi Rajender burst upon the scene with phenomenal success in his early films on subjects such as romance which appealed to youngsters. However, with the passage of time, the quality of his films began to deteriorate. He is known for his his unique style of acting which includes numerous rhyming dialogues, his brashfulness and lack of modesty and his signature long hair (which he always pushes back) and thick beard.

One of his popular rhymes include him saying to a villain "Vaada en machi... Vaazhaika Bhajji... Un udamba pichi... Potuduven Bhajji" which means "Come on dude... You banana Bhajji... I will tear your body... and make Bhajjis out of it!". Another of his well known dialogues is "Dandanakka Dadunkanakka" which has even been adopted by his son in a song in his 2008 film Kaalai.

In recent times, the Karadi has earned a comical reputation for his bad style of acting, his poor choice of apparel, gestures and dance movements and a series of flops, including his latest movie Veerasamy. He has also been widely criticized for his outspoken remarks on prominent political and media personalities and for his desperate efforts to promote his son Simbhu.

Many of the Karadi's movies were centered upon sisterly (Tangachi) sentiments. This is because his younger sister, Vani T. Rajendar was apparently raped by him repeatedly on one occasion when he was drunk. Soon after that, Vani commited suicide. His guilt and regret for his actions led him to produce movies which were dedicated to his sister, all of which carry sisterly

His wife Usha Rajendar also worked with him for various roles including film co-producer, guest entertainer, model and costume designer. His son Simbhu is an infamous Tamil actor since his childhood and a self-proclaimed producer of some movies.

Some of the Karadi's movies are:

  • Karadipaiyan
  • Hairy Potte
  • Mythili Ennai Kathali
  • Karadisha En Karadilisa
  • Monisha En Monalisa
  • Dandanakka Dadunkanakka
  • Enga Veettu Thangachi oru Parachi
  • Sonnal Thaan Kathala
  • Kadhal Azhivathillai
  • Tharuthalai Raagam
  • King Kong of Tamil Nadu
  • Veerasamy

The Karadi also made a cameo appearance in his son Simbhu's Vallavan movie.

Politics

He joined Dandanakkaa Munnetra Kazhakam during ex-chief minister M.G.Ramachandran Era. He left from DMK during 1991 and started Thangachi Munnetra Kazhakam. In 1996, he came back to DMK and contested in Parktown constituency and won. He lost 2001 assembly elections from the same Parktown constituency.

In 2004, he again left DMK and started new party called All India Simbhu-Kural Munnetra Kazhagam[2]and started supporting Jayalalitha. He told in his rhetoric Tamil language "Alli Koduppa Amma, Killi Kooda kodukka mattar Karunanidhi" which meant that Jayalalitha will offer magnanimously and DMK Chief Karunanidhi will not even offer pinch. When Jayalalitha unilaterally announced her decision to not to offer any seats to his party in 2006 Tamilnadu Assembly Elections,he waited for few more days till ADMK candidates for all constituencies are announced. Once it became clear that ADMK is no longer going to offer any seats to his party, he announced "Self respect is more important to him and he never lived life by selling self-esteem" in his rhetoric Tamil sequence words and started canvassing votes for DMK alliance.("Naan vazhndhadhu illai thanmanathai vithu, en endral suyamariyadhai ennoda sothu, udhayasuriyanukku votai kuthu".Then he left ADMK alliance and fielded candidates in 11 constituencies. His party supported DMK in balance constituencies and he campaigned throughout Tamilnadu and attacked Vaiko vehemently using his famous Tamil rhetoric sequences. ("Vaiko nee psycho... nee oru poiko.., nee engayavdhu poiko. En padam per tharuthalai ragam, Vaiko oru thalai nagam" which means that Vaiko is Psycho and he is snake). His party lost deposit in all constituencies and he got 4400 votes in Mayiladuthurai constituency. He canvassed for kalaingar in last election. His favourite dialogue is "Dandanaka Danukunaka","Tangaccchi".

Utter Crap. Why u use such Hurting words "Karadi"...Really disappointing.Criticize his movies instead abusing him personally is very cheap attitude.Agreed of late his movies are utter crap but in the 80's he is one of the good musician in tamil cinema.DO u think its easy job to do story,screenplay,dialogs,music,fotography,direction..etc.by a single person..

Coconut Chutney said...

lol! someone getting tension. papa be careful!

And with all due respect to inoruvan,
I have seen ALL his movies, right from Oru Thalai Raagam to Veerasamy so I think I have the authority to comment on this issue. And frankly, its his movies which are rubbish. True, oru thalai raagam, thangaikku oru geetham were hits in the 80s but that doesn't qualify it to be a good movie. Yes, it is hard to be director, dialogue writer, music director, tea boy etc all at the same time but naangala ketom ellaathayum avare panna? Rendu aalu vechukavendidhaane....enna korachal.

And as far as the personal abuse is concerned, this has been lifted from Wikipedia and not written by my sister. So if you have a problem with that, I suggest you take it up there, instead of bullying (or attempting to) a 12 year old.

And further more, karadi-ya karadinnu koopdama kannukuttyna koopadradhu? Jokes apart, i think this "karadi" image is one that he has created, and if he's at the receiving end, its his own problem.

I suggest you see all 3 hours of Veerasamy. You'll receive enough and more justification for the aforementioned arguments.

Damn, I should have been a lawyer!
